Bottomless Brunch with the Little Bat

HLittle Bat is a beautiful rustic bar based in the up and coming popular location Islington, in London.

Little Bat has won an award for best bar and best new venue. Little Bat wanted to create a place were every would feel welcome and comfortable. And they definitely succeeded!

The interior work has been inspired by public spaces from parks and gardens to libraries and museums. With collections of vintage and characteristic pieces; floating bookshelves, vintage mirrors and hanging baskets.

We arrived at Little Bat and the presentation of the restaurant was stunning; the decor style was spot on! The decor was rustic with a modern vintage twist. Which I love! There is a great attention to detail. The furniture has great style with the touch of old antique pieces – like the type writer on the front of the bar – along with plants for a fresh finish.

Across the front was opening dining facing the street, perfect for the extra warm weather we have received. It was divine!

We were going for a bottomless brunch and the menu looked very exciting and unique.

We were greeted most warmly by a member of staff and he served us throughout our visit.

We were presented the appetising menu – there are so many tasty options to choose from but first we started with drinks.

A pot of tea always goes down a treat for me and gets me prepped.

Next up cocktails!

I had the Canteloupe spritz and I can tell you it was so delicious and easy to drink! I would definitely go back for another! I highly recommend it!

The Breakfast Club was a great drink also, it was well presented, pretty and delicate. Definitely one if you enjoy a stronger drink!

Next up was the food!

For starters we had a selection from the Peckish part of the menu:

Roasted cauliflower and smoked cheddar croquettes, chill relish

Market fish nuggets, prawn mayo

As you can see the plates are beautiful present and the portion amount is perfect!

There were so many beautiful flavours that complimented each other in the dishes. It was like eating passion on a plate!

The main event:

Chickpea and potato Parmesan truffle rosti with bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise

The rich flavours melted between each. This dish was very filling – don’t be fooled by the size of it! You won’t go hungry at the Little Bat.

Fried chicken and waffles, avocado, fried egg, bbq hot sauce, picked cucumber

The flavour and texture of the fried chicken was unreal! One of the best taking bits of chicken I have had in a long time! This dish was my favourite!

For dessert:

Pancakes, almond butter, strawberries, orange zest, mint

We shared this dish as we were so full from the rest of the courses. This really portrays the wonderful honest home made food Little Bat served us.

The whole experience was refreshing pleasure and throughly enjoyable with impeccable food! I would honestly definitely go back for more! One of the best brunches I have had!

One of my favourite things about the whole experience was the graceful service and nothing was rushed. They made us feel overly welcome which was a lovely touch.

Thank you so much again for having us!
